About Vix Edwards
About Vix Edwards
Vix is an artist based in Warwickshire, England.
An ambassador for MS and fibromyalgia who has found a passion for photography & Digital art.
She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) an auto immune disease at the age of 29.
2 years later she was told that the chronic pain & chronic fatigue she was suffering was not only from the MS but she also had Fibromyalgia.
For quality of life Vix had to finish work so to fill her time she picked up her old faithful camera that had been forgotten about for so many years.
She soon learnt how much technology had advanced away from her 32mm SLR Minolta, the ones that you have to put films into! Everything was digital now!
It was the Christmas of 2013 when she was given a Digital camera. The camera had been well researched and provided everything needed for every moment without having to change the lens. This meant that Vix didn’t have to worry about carrying extra lenses around or, if she would be able to change the lens due to the MS effecting her grip.
With the help of her Father, John Edwards an excellent photographer & digital artist she learnt & is still learning this wonderful new (to her) world of digital art!
She creates wonderful vibrant images for pleasure from either photos she has taken or as fractal images. You will notice this vibrancy throughout Vix artwork . This is mainly because she can no longer see colours as they should be due to Optic Neuritis, inflammation of the optic nerve caused by the MS. Her art may appear more colourful to yourself then it will to her!
Vix regularly sells her art work to help raise funds for a number of her chosen charities
